It's an easy plant to care for, and the most important thing is to ensure your Pink Princess receives a good amount of indirect light in order to maximise the pink colouration. Be quick, it's the hottest plant around and we anticipate it selling like hot (pink) cakes!

Although variegation of the leaves of this plant can be unpredictable, bright light will help encourage the pink patches to appear.

How to care for your Philodendron Pink Princess | 15cm | Rare houseplant

Native habitat

This plant is native to Columbia, South America.

Light and position in the home

The Philodendron 'Pink Princess' needs bright but indirect light. Brighter light will encourage better colour in the foliage and increase variegation. Although variegation in the plant can be unpredictable, bright light will help encourage the pink patches to appear. Watering - Allow the top half of the soil to dry between each watering, and then water well. They can be susceptible to root rot, so never allow it to sit in waterlogged soil. To determine if your Pink Princess needs watering, poke your finger an inch or so into the soil to ensure it is dry below the surface. Soil/potting mix should be airy and well-draining.
