How to care for your Calathea rufibarba

Native Habitat

Native to South America, including Brazil.

Light and position in the home

This plant loves indirect light but does not enjoy direct sunlight as this will burn the leaves. They can tolerate some shade, but the better the light conditions the better the foliage.

Coming from the rainforest, this plant enjoys humidity. Keep in damp soil at all times, but definitely do not allow the plant to sit in water or in very wet soil. Think little and often when it comes to watering.
