The Philodendron Atabapoense is a rare houseplant that brings a simple and stylish look into your space. This climbing philodendron produces elongated, heart-shaped foliage that is a dark glossy green colour. A light-green vein runs down the middle of the stem, creating a contrast of colour to the display. The curvy stems of this plant are a fantastic shape, branching out at strange angles to create an uneven, but well-textured display that brings a unique flair into the home.
How much light does my Philodendron Atabapoense need?
This philodendron loves bright, but indirect sunlight. The ideal location would be next to or opposite, but slightly offset from a bright window. Direct sunlight can burn the leaves, so if you don’t have a space out of direct light try to filter it with a blind or opaque sticker. Avoid placing your plant near cold draughts or in areas where the temperature changes often.
How often should I water my Philodendron Atabapoense?
Water your philodendron enough to keep the soil moist, but not wet. You should only water your plant when the top half of the soil has become dry. Test the soil once a week with a finger to test its dryness. Philodendrons prefer to be under-watered rather than overwatered so you can err on the side of caution of you are unsure.
