This shrubby climber bears fragrant, tubular white flowers, which mature to yellow and bloom from July to September. It will quickly grow to cover a wall or fence and attract wildlife and pollinators into the garden. It makes a great planting companion for roses. Lonicera periclymenum ‘Serotina’ bears large, fragrant creamy-white flowers streaked with dark red. It’s a vigorous climber and will quickly cover a trellis or arch. This plant is also great for planting at the back of a border or bed. For the best results, plant in moist but well-drained soil that receives dappled shade throughout the day. Generously apply mulch or well-rotted compost or manure around the base of the plant around 5-7cm (2-3in) deep in early spring.
