Bacopa White Bedding Plant
This simple to grow trailing annual is ideal for containers, window boxes and hanging baskets, bringing a traditional and seaside feel into your garden. The bacopa is a vigorous grower that will quickly cascade gracefully down the side of a window box, hanging basket of if planted in a high position. The small green herby leaves support an abundance of delicate buttercup-like white flowers that will be in bloom from June to October. The elegantly trailing display attracts pollinators into your garden, bringing your space to life and improving the health of the rest of your garden.
Your bacopa is better suited to plant in containers because they allow the soil to retain moisture and give you a more impressive flowering season. Plant in rich well-draining soil in a sunny or partially shaded space. How often should I water by bacopa? Water lightly once a week to keep the soil moist but not soggy, increasing during dry months. You will get better results if you water the plant I the evening.
Fertilize once every four to six weeks with diluted, nitrogen-rich fertilizer.
Trim or pinch out spent blooms throughout the flowering period. Remove the entire flower just above the nearest set of leaves. To encourage a longer flowering season remove flowers as soon as they begin to brown to encourage new growth.
