Lavender originates in the Mediterranean.

Planting location

Lavenders are versatile and can be planted in a variety of situations, including wildlife gardens, cottage gardens, formal gardens, beneath shrub roses or in pots. It thrives in full sun and the soil needs to have good drainage.

Lavenders thrive in dry conditions and suffer if they become waterlogged, so water sparingly.
