These drought tolerant plants require very little care if given the basics. The Gazania is a drought tolerant plant that will prefer to be underwatered than overwatered. Keep the soil moist, but not wet. Deadhead spent blooms when they close at night, and prune foliage as and when it begins to brown and wilt. Feed container grown gazanias fortnightly with potash-rich fertilizer.
