Helleborus Gold Collection® Liara 3ltr
This product is unavailable
This beautiful evergreen perennial is a cross between a Christmas Rose and a hellebore, which allows it to cope well with harsh winters and warm summers, producing plants during the winter and spring months. It has lobed dark green leaves which provide good coverage during colder months when it produces large saucer-like flowers. The bowl-shaped flowers sit on top of a mound of leathery, evergreen, serrated-edged leaves from January to March. The Leaves will outlast the flowers to create an area of interest in the garden long into the year, making this an ideal choice of plant to bring some long-lasting colour and texture into your space that will attract lots of pollinators into your space.
Helleborus plant care
Plant in a well-draining soil that receives full sun or partial shade throughout the day. Pre-treat the soil with a well-rotted manure or leaf mold to help your plant establish itself. Prune in late winter or early spring by removing any dead or wilting leaves. When the new year’s growth begins to leaf, completely remove the old growth.
Are Helleborus plants toxic?
Helleborus plants are toxic to dogs, cats and horses so plant in a location that is out of reach of pets. They are not toxic to humans, but you should still handle them with care.
Can I grow hellebores in pots?
Helleborus plants will thrive indoors or outdoors in a pot. Just make sure that the container is well-draining and watered regularly.
