Moler clay is a reusable and sustainable solution for getting some much-needed aeration and drainage into any soil. This soil additive is mainly used to enrich the soil of bonsai trees as it allows for better aeration whilst keeping the soil strong enough to keep the tree stable. Much like grit, moler clay aids in drainage, letting excess water drain away from the roots, which keeps the roots healthy and strong. This absorbent clay will hold onto some water and slowly release it back into the soil as the plant needs it which help to maintain ideal water levels for your plant. If you water regularly with a fertilizer, the clay will also prevent much of the nutrition from being flushed away with the water, enriching the soil and giving your plant the best chance to thrive.
