Pachira aquatica

£44.99
Originating from Central and South America, the name 'Pachira Aquatica' comes from the old Guyanese Indian language meaning 'sweet water nut'. What makes it so special is the structure of the plant - the large green leaves that grow on the long stems allow light to pass through and it also stores water in its trunk. This means it requires little attention in comparison to other plants making it super easy to look after and very hard to kill. It is ideal for those wanting to bring some impressive greenery into their home without having to spend too much time and energy.

According to Chinese feng shui the Pachira is believed to be lucky. It has two or three braided trunks which are said to 'lock in' luck and treasure and dark green leaves that resemble green hands that capture happiness and good fortune. Traditionally given as a housewarming gift, we hope it brings lots of happiness and good fortune to your home!

Comes in a 19cm nursery pot, ceramic pot not included.

Native habitat

Money Tree is native to the tropical regions of Central and South America as far down as northern Brazil.

Light and position in the home

Money Tree prefers bright, indirect light. Low light can cause leaves to drop so turn regularly to ensure even light distribution.
