Rudbeckia Summerina Orange 3ltr
This product is unavailable
Producing star shaped plants with fanned out bright yellow petals that contrast against a raised black centre, this hardy perennial will form a sea of colour from August to October. This upright perennial grows on wiry green stems that make this medium height plant a great mid border filler.
How to grow rudbeckia
Liking full sun, and able to tolerate most soils if they are well-draining this perennial will be just as comfortable in a container or rock garden as it would be in a garden or bed. Water lightly to keep the soil slightly damn, however this plant will thrive from some underwatering.
What is a perennial plant?
Unlike annuals, which only live for one season, perennial plants are a long-term solution to colour in your garden that will come back year after year. Typically, a perennial will only bloom for one season of the year, however there are long-blooming perennials. If grown in the right conditions and treated well a perennial can live between three and five years. For a garden that has colour all round you should plant a mix of annuals and perennials that bloom in different seasons.
