Tree cactus grows in a tall columnar form and develops tree-like branches over time. Given the right conditions, mature specimens can produce flowers which usually open at night and develop into fleshy fruits. It's a gorgeous cactus with a blueish-green, glaucous appearance and golden yellow spines. This prickly beauty will enhance any cacti collection!

Native habitat

Pilosocereus is native to Mexico, South America, Caribbean.

Light and position in the home

This cactus will be happy in full sun. A bright sunny spot, on a south or west facing windowsill is ideal.

Watering

Water in the summer when the soil is dry. It is important to allow this plant to dry out between waterings. In winter, watering can be suspended or done very rarely.
