ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is at the heart of an exciting and fast-growing startup. Reporting to our Warehouse Coordinator, our Operations Assistant will provide rock steady and enthusiastic support to our management team through a wide range of tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

o Coordinating the shifts for warehouse team.

o Coordinating deliveries and collections.

o Managing orders and taking ownership of the ordering process.

o Acting as a key point person between warehouse and customer service teams. 

o Subbing for Warehouse Coordinator as required in terms of stock check and effective communication of delivery priorities.

o Supervised stock ordering.

o Updating and proofreading website copy as required.

o Preparing weekly dashboard of company performance for Founder.

o Also a member of the packing team. Happy to get stuck in and support the warehouse packing team when time allows.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

o You have a great work ethic, are self-motivated, and have a get-things-done kind of personality. 

o You don't wait to be told what to do and you're able to make smart decisions, quickly.

o Highly organised and able to manage deliveries and collections efficiently. 

o Excellent communicator, both written and spoken. A lot of our communication is done online, so you need to be very comfortable with using online platforms and communicating online.

o You uphold the highest possible quality standards both in your work and your approach to other team members. 

o Supportive and encouraging team player.

o Ability to cope with uncertainty and a fast-changing landscape. We're a startup: we leap on opportunity when it arises and listen hard to what our customers are telling us. 

o You're comfortable with learning on the job. If something isn't working, we drop it fast and move on. 

o You have great attention to detail and are able to balance this with strategic prioritisation of tasks.

ABOUT THE BUSINESS

Lazy Flora delivers beautiful plants, on subscription. We're like Hello Fresh for plants. We have just raised £89k on Seeders and are looking for a talented new team member to work closely with our Nottingham warehouse team, initially on a part-time contract basis. Some of this work can be done remotely, but you will need to be able to attend in person at the warehouse for many of the tasks.
