Perennial Plants
Perennial plants are plants that live for more than two years. Unlike annual plants, which complete their life cycle in one growing season and then die, perennial plants continue to grow and bloom year after year. They are an important part of many gardens and landscapes because they provide long-lasting beauty and often require less maintenance than annuals.
Perennial plants typically require less maintenance than annuals because they have a deeper root system that allows them to access water and nutrients from deeper in the soil. They also tend to be more resistant to pests and diseases because they are more established and have a stronger immune system.
